Sure, plenty of singers have earned a place around your tree come December, but doesn’t humanity have just about all the Christmas albums we need for the rest of time? Instead, maybe performers can follow in Kim Petras’s cloven platform footsteps and release a Halloween album in their own unique style. Just as soon as the calendar clicked over to October 1 tonight, the “Heart to Break†singer released Turn Off the Light, a full Halloween album featuring songs with very promising names like “Bloody Valentine†and “Death by Sex.â€

While the album technically has 17 tracks, eight of them are songs from the Halloween EP Petras released last year, which was entitled Turn Off the Light, Vol. 1. Instead of a Volume Two, it seems she went ahead and released a full album. And instead of adding ad nauseam to the pantheon of songs about sleigh rides and snow and chestnuts roasting, how about performers follow her lead and monster mash together some appropriately spooky Halloween songs for next year? In the meantime, you can listen to the full Turn Off the Light album below. Boo, bitch.
