The best part about Valentine’s Day is the discounted chocolate left in its wake. Lizzo seems to get it. She showed up at yesterday’s 2020 Brit Awards in impressive chocolate bar cosplay (her BFF Harry Styles went as a seashell).
This involved a Moschino dress that looked like a Hershey’s bar wrapper (Milk Chocolate), a Judith Lieber clutch that looked like an actual Hershey’s bar (also Milk Chocolate), an updo by Shelby Swain that resembled a Hershey’s Kiss (Special Dark Chocolate), and a monochrome makeup look by Alexx Mayo comprised of various chocolate-y shades, like Urban Decay’s Hi-Shine Gloss in Shadowheart (Hershey’s Syrup with gold sparkle stirred in.)
But wait, there’s more! Manicurist Eri Ishizu turned all ten of Lizzo’s nails into mini bars of chocolate (Hershey’s Miniatures) using a new duo of chocolate-inspired polishes by Nails Inc. The polishes are scented, but they don’t smell like nail polish — they smell like chocolate!!! A cocoa-y smell, to be exact (Nesquik). Ishizu primed the singer’s nails with NAILKALE Superfood Base Coat, a momentary palette cleanser, then used the lighter shade, I’m Fondue You (Three Musketeers filling) for the base, and two coats of the darker shade, 100% Hot Chocolate (Hershey’s Milk Chocolate again) on top of acrylic molded to look like a chocolate bar.
If you’ve begun to yell “CHOCOLATE” into the abyss, head over to Nails Inc. to pre-order the Coco for Real duo. You can periodically sniff your nails at your desk when the V-day candy runs out and that 3 p.m. craving hits.
