Why not? JoJo Siwa has a new EP out today, Guilty Pleasure, and an accompanying single of the same name that comes with a music video in tow. A whole EP is a lot, but the single and music video is only two and a half minutes, so come give her some attention. She’s like Tinkerbell; she won’t survive without it. Siwa takes more inspiration from Miley Cyrus as she dances with teddy bears and licks a hammer. Hey, it got Cyrus through the child-star transition, and Siwa certainly has the energy for it. The track itself is a thumping and nonspecific electronic-pop number that claims Siwa is “your guilty pleasure.†While the follow-up is less catchy than “Karma,†in many ways, the fact that the music video is set in “JoJo’s Guilty Pleasure House†makes up for it. Now that’s a turn of phrase. Next step: reality show. Then, the Grammys, obviously.
