Travis Scott has been arrested for disorderly intoxication and trespassing in Miami Beach, Fox 7 News reports. According to Miami Beach Police Department, the rapper was on a charter boat at the Miami Beach Marina when the incident occurred around 12:44 a.m. “He was drunk, causing a disturbance and asked to leave multiple times,†officers told Fox 7 News. “The defendant later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated, ‘It’s Miami,’†per Scott’s arrest form. When the rapper refused to leave, he was arrested and booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center around 4:30 a.m. A source familiar with the incident described it as a “rowdy party†but denies the rapper had a “physical altercation with anyone.â€
Scott, real name Jacques Bermon Webster, was charged with disorderly intoxication and trespassing property after warning. He posted a $650 bond and has since been released. “Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding,†a legal representative for the rapper, Bradford Cohen, told Vulture. “There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution.†His arrest comes after he was caught fighting a music executive on-camera at Cannes Film Festival last month. Much like another musician booked for intoxication this week, Scott’s booking preceded a tour. The rapper is set to begin Circus Maximus in the Netherlands next week.
