Let's try some basic numbers which we use in everyday Irish.

  • I am fifteen years old.
  • I am sixteen years old.

Cá mhéad duine atá i do theaghlach? How many are in your family?

  • There are six in my family.
  • There are three in my family.

Cén áit ar tháinig tú sa rang? Where did you come in the class?

  • I came in third place.
  • I came in fifth place.

Question

Cén dáta ar rugadh tú? What date were you born?

  • I was born on the eighth.
  • I was born on the fifteenth.

  • I was born in 2003.
