Good news for people who don’t want 2011’s most valuable overachiever, Jessica Chastain, to burn out: She knows she needs a vacation, and it’s her New Year’s resolution to take one. “I’m going to shoot a Kathryn Bigelow film next,†she told us at the 77th Annual New York Film Critics Circle Awards last night, “and then I hope to take one week this year and not have my cell phone or anything for the whole week. Go on a real vacation. I hope to go to Hawaii with my family.†The Bigelow movie standing in the way of Chastain and sleep is Kill Bin Laden, in which she’s rumored to play one of the terrorist leader’s wives. Is it true? “I can definitely tell you I’m not going to play Bin Laden’s wife!†she told Vulture. “No, no, no. A little too red! A little too pale!†Chastain, who was later named Best Supporting Actress for her roles in The Tree of Life, The Help, and Take Shelter, also told us she has a theory about when to read reviews and when to pretend they don’t exist: “You can always tell the next day what the reviews are, because people are either like, ‘Whoa! Congratulations!’ Or they walk in with their heads down.
