The perpetually prolific Jessica Chastain just dropped Iron Man 3 from her jam-packed schedule, but don’t think she’s suddenly got some down time. “I don’t have any time to relax,” she told Vulture at a Calvin Klein–hosted party at Cannes. “I have two films here! Madagascar and Lawless, which is in competition.” What about that vacation that she promised us she would take at some point? “I know,” sighed a guilty Chastain. “I don’t know when that’s happening actually. I was planning on taking a week in Hawaii at some point. It’s gone.” Still, at least the star — who recently booked Kathryn Bigelow’s Bin Laden film and an upcoming Broadway stint starring in The Heiress — is a little less tense than she was last year in Cannes, “when I was crying in the car to Tree of Life out of nerves.” In fact, after a year spent supporting that film, Take Shelter, The Help, and several other movies, “I think that’s probably why I’m going to go do Broadway,” said Chastain. “Last year was the most beautiful year of my career. I don’t know if I’ll ever match it again, and I think I just need to get back to the stage, because that’s where I started.”
