John Stamos is the latest to get sucked into the whirlwind that is pilot casting season. After stints on ER, Glee, and The New Normal in the last few years, Stamos is set to star in NBC’s I Am Victor, a drama about “a high powered divorce attorney with a unique view of relationships. Quick, charming, disarming, brazen and direct, he unapologetically says what most people think, but dare not say, and the methods he uses on behalf of his clients are anything from jurisprudence and artful negotiation to manipulation and pure extortion.†The show comes from House executive producer Katie Jacobs.
More familiar faces who’ve found pilots: Lost’s Jorge Garcia has landed a co-star role in the CBS drama The Ordained, about “the son of a Kennedy-esque family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer at a top New York firm to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated.†Meanwhile, Joe Lo Truglio (Superbad, Wet Hot American Summer) has joined Andy Samberg’s single-camera comedy pilot at Fox, about “a diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of New York City.â€
