Madonna turned 55 last week, which necessitated a Marie Antoinette–themed birthday party this weekend, complete with crazy hairpieces and enormous ball skirts — just kidding, Madonna would never wear bottoms! She did, however, wear a heart-shaped eye patch, and captioned her Instagram selfie: “Perhaps we had too much Cale! But at my Birthday Party all I could see was LOVE.” She then corrected herself: “Perhaps I had too much Champagne! I meant to write CAKE!” Not that kale snacks at Madonna’s birthday party would be hard to believe, though.
