Nick Gruber and his “publicist” John Luciano broke up last February, dashing our dreams of that tell-all book about Gruber’s life with Calvin Klein, which now survives only in proposal form. But they also filmed a reality show together, originally for Bravo, and Luciano has all of the tapes. He tells Out’s Michael Musto:
We broke up in February 2013 and all that I was left with was a band of gold, the dreams I hold, and countless hours of priceless footage.
He sold it to Boondock Films, which edited it into “Lucky Shot, the Nick Gruber Project,” a series of five-minute YouTube videos. You can see a teaser above.
Things to learn from this:
1. Don’t date your publicist — or hire your boyfriend to be your publicist.
2. Do not leave said boyfriend with “countless hours” of TV-quality video footage.
3. Don’t film a reality show with someone who calls you ”a cross between Kim Kardashian and Honey Boo Boo.”
Lucky for us, it’s too late.
