Matt Smith, most recently of Doctor Who fame, will be playing Patrick Bateman in the upcoming London debut of the American Psycho musical, the production announced. Duncan Sheik wrote the music, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) wrote the book, and Olivier-winning Rupert Goold is directing. As previously discussed, the musical includes all electronic music and songs called “You Are What You Wear,†“Cards,†and “This Is Not an Exit.†And now we know they’ll be sung by the eleventh Doctor.
