Last week, Frozen surprised us all when it returned to the number-one spot at the weekend box office its seventh week out. This time around, the unstoppable Disney animated feature dropped to number two, being replaced at number one by Lone Survivor. Mister January Mark Wahlberg’s Navy SEALs action film made $38.5 million for a three-week total of $38.8 million. Meanwhile, Frozen is up to $317.2 for its eighth week in theaters, $14.6 million of which came from this weekend. The Wolf of Wall Street made almost $9 million on its way to third place. (Scorsese’s ode to the eighties has raked in a total $78.5 million in three weeks.) The Legend of Hercules and American Hustle rounded out the top five with a tie: Both brought in $8.6 million over the last three days. While the Kellan Lutz vehicle is new to theaters, David O. Russell’s con thriller has passed $100 million mark to reach $101.4 million in five weeks.
