Taylor Swift’s Style Philosphy Is a Lot Like Yours Was in Middle School

In an interview with hip shopping site Asos, Taylor Swift shares her secret to getting dressed in the morning. One might think she considers the paparazzi, the advice of her stylist, or — I don’t know — her own inner compass when she pulls together one of her cute ensembles. But, as she reveals, the only critics who matter are her friends:

“When I’m getting dressed, it’s always based on what my friends will think. They are my number one priority and the opinions of girls are more important to me at this point in my life …”

Sound familiar? Like that voice in your own head back in seventh grade when you worried about navigating the conformist dress codes employed by savvy junior-high-school students throughout history? This might also explain her tendency to wear matching outfits with her girlfriends — if you’re wearing the same thing, everybody is impressed and everybody likes you. TWINSIES!

Here’s hoping she strikes up a sister-bond with Rihanna soon. She’d look great in those sparkly Tom Ford nipple pasties.
