
Hours after E.L. James announced last week that she has written a Fifty Shades spinoff, the book shot up to No. 1 on the best-seller list on Amazon and Barnes&Noble.com in presales. The new book, which retells the Fifty Shades trilogy from the perspective of Christian Grey, will be released June 18 (Grey’s birthday, of course ) — and apparently is too sexy to wait for.
The BBC reports that police launched an investigation yesterday after Random House discovered that a copy of the highly anticipated tome has gone missing. The publisher has not provided any other information about the stolen book, but smut-crazed superfans are advised to keep praying for a leak.
