Bryan Fuller tweeted Tuesday that streaming players Amazon and Netflix declined to pick up Hannibal for a fourth season. (Fuller had previously told us that Netflix would not be able to pick up the show because of streaming rights.) NBC cut the show after three violently strange, avant-garde seasons. Hannibal didn’t have a lot of viewers, but those that watched were a hungry bunch. (There’s a petition circulating around, of course.) So don’t lose hope yet, Fannibals! Fuller says that he’s still exploring other options, so we may get to see whether Hannibal survived Rihanna’s music video or not.
