Jeremy Renner is a busy man — just check out his ad for Rémy Martin, which labels the Avenger as an “actor / producer / renovator / musician†(“Matt Damon substitute†is not included) — but there is always more that Jeremy Renner could be doing. At Silicon Valley Comic Con, Renner, who hasn’t gotten his own Marvel movie as Hawkeye yet, mentioned that he’d be interested in doing a Hawkeye Netflix series, which he has apparently thought about in some detail: “I’ve really enjoyed getting to explore the character more recently. The Netflix model is where all the character drama goes to now, you’re doing a superhero movie or a Netflix or HBO kind of model. So I’d be open to it. Not up to me, though.†When asked about whether he’d do a Black Widow–Hawkeye movie, Renner also said, “In a second. I’d love to do that.†(Yeah, that one would be pretty awkward.) Is Jeremy Renner bored? Does he need money? Anyway, Marvel, give Hawkeye a Netflix series. Make it about Renner’s home renovation projects, or make it an ersatz Hurt Locker sequel. Marvel, just give Renner something to do. He’s begging you. Please.
