Inside your heart is breaking. Your make-up may be flaking, but your smile still stays on. But enough about your job as seat filler at the 91st Academy Awards. Hot on the stacked heels of their clearly beloved Oscars performance Sunday, Queen and singer Adam Lambert announced their upcoming documentary The Show Must Go On: The Queen + Adam Lambert Story. Named for the track from the band’s 1991 album Innuendo, Rolling Stone reports that the documentary purportedly offers “rare concert footage, behind-the-scenes clips and exclusive interviews,†including an interview with Rami Malek, tracking Lambert’s career from American Idol star to the singer who stepped into Freddie Mercury’s (also extremely stacked) shoes.
Set to air on ABC on April 29, The Show Must Go On seems like a clear attempt to continue riding that Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody wave ahead of the group’s upcoming summer tour. Still, plenty of Queen fans are probably down to spend some time with Brian May and the gang, not to mention Adam Lambert. Right, Javier Bardem?
