The new music video for Miley Cyrus’s pro-choice anthem “Mother’s Daughter†pays tribute to women of all shapes, sizes, gender expressions, colors, and abilities. In the process, it also pays a little homage to OG pop-princess Britney Spears. Cyrus wears a skin-tight latex jumpsuit that just looks like the 2019 version of Spears’s iconic “Oops … I Did It Again†music-video look. Instead of bootcut pant legs, Miley went for a studded crotch. Both looks stand in the name of a woman’s inalienable right to do whatever the hell she wants — break hearts or break down the patriarchy. (On most days, it’s both.)
