Last night, in the middle of a rainstorm in New York, Rihanna visited the Esquelita Club in midtown wearing some particularly impractical rain gear: a sequined column dress by Discount Universe that read “You will never own me, I will never fear you” on the front and back in giant sequins, some strappy sandals instead of galoshes, and a bag in the shape of a giant manicured hand that had gruesomely lost its fingers. Perhaps most sensibly, she paired the look with a giant, wood-handled umbrella.
