On Thursday, Fox announced that pop sensation Pitbull would be the latest celebrity to guest-star on Empire. Unlike many other musician-actors who appeared on the first season, he’ll get to play himself, and perform the song “No Doubt About It†with Jussie Smollett’s character, Jamal. Pitbull will have to fight to distinguish himself among the wide roster of celebrity guest-stars, which so far include Ludacris, Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Oprah, Chris Rock, and maybe even the elusive chanteuse Mariah Carey. In the spirit of Oprah: “You get a cameo! And you get a cameo! Everyone gets a cameo!â€
