Behold! A fruit of Comme des Garçons’ handbag collaboration with Louis Vuitton. To celebrate Louis Vuitton’s 30th year in Tokyo, Comme des Garçons designer Rei Kawakubo designed a limited-edition line of six handbags in the signature Louis Vuitton monogram pattern. We confess we kind of expected the bag to have a little more oomph — we know Kawakubo wanted to keep the monogram pattern classic and all, but we would have loved to see her make it over, Murakami style. Nonetheless, we’re digging the Über-functional, avant-garde handles. So many options for carrying and hanging.
The collection will be available for special order exclusively at the Louis Vuitton pop-up shop starting September 4 in the Tokyo Comme des Garçons store. Good luck getting there and getting your paws on one.
