Grimes is once again turning to public forums to get through to her ex Elon Musk. On Thursday night, she posted a flurry of since-deleted tweets seemingly trying to contact the father of her children about an unspecified medical incident, per People. “Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis,” she wrote on X. “I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention.”
“If you don’t want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this,” she added. “This is urgent, Elon.”
Responding to a follower who criticized her for “going public,” Grimes explained that Musk “won’t respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting.” She did not specify which of their three children — X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl, or Techno Mechanicus — she was referring to, but noted that the one experiencing the emergency would “suffer life long impairment if he doesn’t respond asap.”
“So I need him to fucking respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that’s where we’re at,” Grimes added.
Musk, who’s been busy slashing DEI budgets, has not publicly responded to Grimes’s comments. The former couple, who sued each other for parental rights in 2023, were locked in a contentious yearlong custody battle that was reportedly resolved in Texas in 2024. Still, things seem to be tense. In recent months, Grimes has voiced her distaste for Musk using their 4-year-old as a political prop. “I have made it clear I do not approve of that in every conceivable way I know how,” she wrote on X in January. “I am desperate to solve it. It is a personal tragedy to me.”
