McQueen Tribute Planned for London Fashion Week; Justin Timberlake’s Gag Order

• The British Fashion Council has mounted a tribute wall to Alexander McQueen in the main tent at London Fashion Week, where visitors can pin notes. The notes will be turned into a book and given to his family after Fashion Week. [WWD]

• Justin Timberlake made all staff members at the William Rast show sign a gag order not to gossip about him. [Page Six/NYP]

• Celebrities were offered accommodations, flights, and (“in certain cases”) grooming to attend the Thuy and G-Star Raw shows — but they weren’t paid to attend. [Page Six/NYP]

• Demi Moore wore an all-black look straight from Donna Karan’s fall 2010 collection on Tuesday, which had just debuted on the runway the day before. However, it may have been overshadowed by Ashton Kutcher’s hat. [WWD]

Zac Posen says he didn’t give Lauren Bush any special treatment when she interned for him: “She sewed animals’ eyes, straight from the taxidermist onto clothes. And sourced glass dolls’ eyes. She worked hard. Unfazed. No airs or graces.” [Page Six/NYP]

Betsey Johnson is against wooing celebrities to attend her shows. “You do it because you want to do it. No strings attached. The strings are what I don’t like. That’s why I don’t do lunch.” [NYP]

• Samantha Ronson settled on a soundtrack of Carly Simon for her sister’s show. “If you’re going to play horrible music that doesn’t fit, then it might as well just be silent and let the clothing speak for themselves,” she says. “So I’m not just going to throw songs in the air and see what sticks.” [Heard on the Runway/WSJ]

• Gabriel Asfour turned philosophical at the fall ThreeAsFour show. “I truly believe that the world is going to undergo a huge transformation in the next 10 years. No one talks about this, but the masses now have huge access to culture that they never had before. And that access is the real wealth, in a way that money is not. In 10 years there won’t be an elite controlling access to culture, and then things are going to change incredibly fast.” [NYT]

Harper’s Bazaar is launching a Spanish edition today, with Estonian model Carmen Kass on the cover. [WWD]
