Here’s Katie Holmes posing with her co-star Bailee Madison at last night’s L.A. premiere of their new film, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. Katie chose a simple black Contrarian dress with cutouts and a pleated skirt, which she paired with nude Lanvin heels and pearl stud earrings. In a much brighter look, Bailee wore a strapless shiny pink dress with a print of multicolored roses and peep-toe heels.
Cutesy child-star factor aside, which look is more successful here, bold colors or subtle draping? (Also, is it really okay for a 12-year-old to be in a strapless gown, or are we past that controversy now?)
