It looks like Lara Trump hasn’t given up on her far-fetched dream of becoming a pop sensation. Earlier this week, the Fox News host and daughter-in-law to Donald Trump dropped a new AI-sounding single called “No Days Off” featuring none other than rapper French Montana. The pair announced their musical collaboration with a Mr. and Mrs. Smith-esque set of photos of them pretending to play a game of pool on Instagram, with Lara in a jumpsuit and stilettos. Okay!
This isn’t Lara’s first foray into music — she released a single earlier this year called “Hero” as an homage to first responders, but was criticized due to the sheer amount of autotune seemingly used in the recording process. While her new song sounds just as robotic, the former RNC co-chair’s Instagram followers appear to be more confused by her choice of collaborator. “Alright this has to be the most random thing ever,” one person commented, while others were quick to call the song “weird” and others telling her to “stick to politics.”
I, personally, disagree. I think Lara should ditch her sad Fox News slot and political career as a whole to start making slop music full time. What has she got to lose, anyway?
