Today, the British Fashion Council announced the four new winners of its Fashion Forward scholarships: Henry Holland, Louise Gray, Mary Katrantzou, and James Long. (Long is also the first menswear designer to receive the award.) The Fashion Forward scheme provides funding to London’s emerging designers, as well as business support and guidance from the BFC’s panel. Previous winners include Christopher Kane and Giles Deacon; with plenty of buzz already surrounding the 2012 award winners, it’s likely the award will boost them further into fashion’s big leagues.
