• Tommy Hilfiger on acquiring the rights to Karl Lagerfeld’s brand: “I was doing a photo shoot in Paris, and he was the photographer. The next day he invited me to his home for lunch. • Macy’s plans to continue growing its ‘Fashion Incubator’ program nationally. The scheme provides a select group of designers with work space and guidance; it started in Chicago in 2008, grew to Macy’s Philadelphia a few weeks ago, and will open at Macy’s San Francisco flagship by the end of this month.
