• Now that she’ll have some free time, Carla Bruni plans to release a new album this fall, according to her rep. [Daily Mail]

• Elle.com taps Amina Akhtar, former editor of FashionEtc.com (and editor of this very blog before that), to be their new executive editor. She succeeds Keith Pollock, who left a few weeks ago to join Jason Binn’s forthcoming magazine, Du Jour. [WWD]
