Julia Restoin-Roitfeld has given birth! Carine Roitfeld is a grandmother! (We had a hunch this moment was upon us, as Julia hadn’t tweeted in, like, days.) Naturally, Derek Blasberg did the honors of breaking the news on Twitter, writing, “Congratulations to proud Momma @RestoinRJulia! (And thus, the chicest grannie ever: Carine Roitfeld!) Can’t wait to meet the beautiful baby!” Luckily, grand-mère Carine doesn’t have to be in Cannes for at least a few more days.
Update: Julia and her boyfriend, model Robert Konjic, made an official announcement via Konjic’s agency, Next: “We are delighted to confirm that Julia and Robert have had a healthy baby girl,” said a Next rep. “Both mother and daughter are doing very well and resting at home.”
