Reminiscing about days pre-pinstripe, Tim Gunn credited Diane Von Furstenberg for triggering his style overhaul — and only with a glance: “She was looking at me in my office [years ago at Parsons] like there was cauliflower cooking or something … I [needed] to do something about my look.” Perhaps she was simply implying that the room lacked a nice, scented candle?
