After floating the news as a rumor earlier this evening, People magazine just confirmed reports of the couple’s nuptials. Their wedding took place this very afternoon, in a big white marquee tent on a plantation in South Carolina. While many of the exciting specifics are still to come — the DRESS? the cake? the first dance? (our guesses: revealing; red velvet; Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie”) — emotional reactions from Cut staffers thus far include all caps text message rants, stunned silences bordering on disbelief, and, to quote one missive, “seriously sitting on my bathroom floor with this intense facial mask on, unable to take it off [because] I just lost all faith in humanity.” We are all under a lot of stress with Fashion Week now, admittedly, but surely this news is too much.
