Emma Watson wore black pants and a matching strapless top from Raf Simons’s famous Dior Couture fall 2012 collection to a special screening of The Perks of Being a Wallflower at the Mayfair Hotel in London last night. She accessorized with black pumps by Dior and jewelry by Boucheron. She wore the outfit just as it appeared on the catwalk, but on her the top falls to her mid-thigh and looks more like a dress; in the runway version, the top hit at the model’s hips. A similar thing happened with Natalie Portman on Tuesday, when she wore a Dior Couture dress that was tea-length on the runway but reached down to the floor on her. Obviously models are much taller than both of these actresses; the question is, why hasn’t anyone hemmed the clothes to fit as they were designed?
