The design team at Valentino shared a sketch of Anne Hathaway’s wedding look with People StyleWatch. In case the grainy paparazzi photos didn’t make it quite clear, the site describes her gown as a “strapless ivory silk point d’esprit tulle dress [with] a pink hand-painted shaded train embroidered with satin flowers.” Hathaway’s bridal bandanna, it turns out, is actually a twenties-inspired lace ribbon veil covered in flowers and crystal beads. A source also told People that Anne “looked very pretty” on her big day.
And because other notable celebrities also got hitched recently, Us Weekly spoke with Georgina Chapman about Blake Lively’s Marchesa wedding dress. It’s an ensemble we have yet to see any pictures of, so let your imagination run wild — with the following descriptors (and Lively’s taste level) in mind: “a beaded gown featuring a silk tulle bodice and rose-gold embroidery.” Lovely! Chapman says Lively was great to work with and was very involved in the design process. You won’t be shocked to know that like Anne, Blake “looked gorgeous,” too.
