The two-month punishment of Ri Sol-ju, wife of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, has finally ended. According to the Guardian, Ri was allowed to attend a football match and a concert with Kim Jong-un on Monday, which the official North Korean news agency says “drew a thunderous cheer from the audience.” When Ri stopped making public appearances for two months earlier this fall, there were rumors that she was being punished for wearing a flower lapel pin instead of the traditional one, which bears Kim Il-sung’s face, or having generally too cheerful a demeanor.
