The French actor Gaspard Ulliel will play the designer in French director Bertrand Bonello’s forthcoming biopic, after a “huge audition [process].” The film, first announced this past Cannes, will go into production next spring. Though a script and screenplay have yet to be formalized, the focus will be Saint Laurent’s design heyday from the mid-sixties through 1976’s seminal Russian collection. No word yet if Hedi Slimane will cameo.
