Charles H. Townsend, chief executive officer of Condé Nast, just announced that Eva Chen is Lucky magazine’s editor-in-chief. Chen was initially hired on as a consultant of “various special projects” to the glossy by the empire’s freshly minted artistic director, Anna Wintour, in April. Chen, who worked at Lucky early in her career as a fashion assistant and had worked with Wintour a bit at Teen Vogue until last year, succeeds former editor-in-chief, Brandon Holley (who is leaving Condé Nast). Chen’s official debut will be the magazine’s September issue.
