It’s hot. Just, like, brutally hot. It’s all anyone can talk about, think about, and tweet about. The U.K. has it just as bad, says the Daily Mail, which is why a group of male students from Cardiff Whitechurch High School couldn’t tolerate their school-mandated-uniform trousers anymore. Yet they weren’t allowed to wear shorts. Instead, they wore skirts to school.
We’re all in agreement: It’s cruel forcing students to wear long pants in a summer swelter, and the ringleader, Tyrone Evelyn really suffered! “Over the last few days, I’ve had a few headaches and skin irritations because I’ve been too hot. Girls can wear skirts, so I don’t see why we can’t wear shorts,” the 15-year-old said. He even convinced sixteen of his classmates to join his protest. Unfortunately, it was short-lived and ineffective; Whitechurch students were still forced to wear pants.
