As spinster-y Lady Edith Crawley on Downton Abbey, actress Laura Carmichael rarely gets to charm the audience. But she brought out her playful side last night at a PBS event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Crawley selected a fun and flirty Moschino Cheap and Chic black dress with a box-pleat, piano-key-accented hem. While Lady Edith certainly loves classical instruments, we’re sure Carmichael’s alter ego would not approve of that flapper-length hemline.
