A deeply macabre Vanity Fair/60 Minutes poll asked Americans which deceased celebrities they would bring back from the dead first. (This is, by the way, exactly how I envision Vanity Fair editorial meetings. “Who should we reanimate this month?“) Thirty-five percent chose Princess Diana, thereby validating Vanity Fair’s September issue and the editorial wisdom of Tina Brown. Runners-up included Steve Jobs (14 percent), Michael Jackson (11 percent), and Whitney Houston (11 percent).
