The Hilton sisters are really branching out these days. Just this week, Paris released her new single and video; at last night’s screening of The Counselor at the Cinema Society, Nicky told the Cut she’s just finished writing her first book, a fashion guide, set to be released next fall. “It’s how to dress for all the seasons, and then there’s just a bunch of stories — my encounters with fashion designers, my tips, my dos, my don’ts,” said Hilton, who was wearing a sparkly, star-spangled dress.

Illustrated with old photos of the author herself, the book will have “kind of a scrapbook vibe,” she continued. “I want it to be personal, and I want to make sure to make a point of I’m not doing a style book to say, ‘Dress like me,’ because that’s stupid. It’s more about finding your own personal style.” So, when did Hilton find her own personal style? “A lot of things that I’ve carried into my adult look were taken from me being a young girl. I’ve sort of modernized it. For example, I would wear that little jumper that Eloise wore, and now I still wear those to this day,” she said, confirming that the fictional 6-year-old was one of her first style icons. “We both grew up in fancy Manhattan hotels — her the Plaza, me the Waldorf. We have a lot of similarities.”
