In Santa Monica, brunette ray of sunshine Jessica Biel is “breaking ground” on a Santa Monica restaurant, reports “Page Six.” It will be a children’s restaurant, but it will also be an exclusive restaurant. A source says that Au Fudge will be like the “Soho House for kids.”

In the manner of most celebrity projects, Au Fudge fills a clear market need: It caters to tiny children’s well-known desire to rub shoulders with the other elite children of the world. Though young people are often naive to the complicated, mercurial social stratification of the modern western world, at Au Fudge, these petites will learn early. It will be a place defined by who’s there, but also by who’s not there.

The source reports that Au Fudge will be a restaurant “where A-listers would feel comfortable bringing their kids to dine and take part in cooking activities.” Jessica Biel is mother to no children as of yet, but she is an A-lister who likes to feel comfortable.
