Johnny Depp, no stranger to bronzer, will be the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Artisan award from the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild. The Guardian reports that Depp is being honored for his artistic collaboration with hair and makeup artists. Susan Cabral-Ebert, the Guild’s president, said in a statement: “He, probably more than any other actor working today, uses the skills of our members to delineate his characters,” which is just another way of commending his fancy, and constant, use of guyliner. Somewhere, Tom Ford is nodding his head in approval. On behalf of beauty editors everywhere, Johnny, we salute you.
