The 2014 Grammys haven’t happened yet, but we can probably predict what we’ll see on the red carpet: big hair, spray-tanned flesh, overexposure of spray-tanned flesh, cats, etc. However, Lorde, our favorite outspoken oddball, has already proven that she’s not about to cave to conformist red-carpet fishtail gowns and cutouts. She posted some of the visuals that are inspiring her Grammy dress on Instagram today, which include a giant sea monster head, a vacant-eyed zombie lady, and Game of Thrones–esque medieval bear-hunting armor.
