Real Housewives progeny and model-to-watch Gigi Hadid gets her big break (in high fashion, at least) in the latest installment of CR Fashion Book. In a Bruce Weber–shot spread appropriately titled “American Fairy Tale,” the 18-year-old does her best Kate Upton with wild blonde hair, several bikinis, and a horse or two.
On the heels of her first major cover, the newbie gushed to the Cut about her other big first last night at The Daily and Modelinia’s Fashion Week party: her first Fashion Week runway walk, which happened Tuesday at Desigual. “I just did a show on Tuesday. It was my debut. It was crazy; I got to walk with my idol Candice Swanepoel. She was in front of me in the lineup. It was just unbelievable,” she said.
Ah, the exuberance and excitement of youth. Hadid, who has been a face for Guess, has a Sports Illustrated shoot in the works, so it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more of the spawn of Yolanda in the future.
