Emblematic middle school power couple Hilary Duff and Aaron Carter dated from 2000 to 2003. It ended with rumors of cheating (Lindsay Lohan was involved) and photographs that seemed to show everyone was macking on the same lip gloss. It was the Disney channel drama of the century.
Since then, time has passed (as it does) but torches remain held. After Duff’s recent divorce, Carter has been rekindling, hard. There was an initial smattering of tweet declarations (which included the words “stupid douche”) and now an interview with Entertainment Tonight. He said he “absolutely” still loves Duff and continues:
I don’t know who she is today, she doesn’t know who I am today, but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong … I’m going to do everything in my power to fix those relationships in my life just like I want to fix the relationship I had with the love of my life … I’m not gonna give up on Hilary … ever.
