ScarJo Hates the Nickname You Made for Her

Scarlett Johansson, the woman who originated the phrase “husky-voiced,” would like to tell you how much she hates the nickname you thrust upon her. In an interview with Glamour, she says of “ScarJo”:

I associate that name with, like, pop star … [it] sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant … There’s something insulting about it.

But she has found a new audience, an audience she loves with a very chichi language: the city of Paris. Yes, she loves to go on about how much she adores her new home:

The nice thing about being in Paris is that you know everybody’s looking at what you’re wearing: You have an audience, you know?

She suddenly hates her old term of endearment? She’s complimenting other places on their superior visual proclivities? America, I think she’s breaking up with us.
