Marie Claire has added a shiny new staffer to their masthead: Audrey Gelman, vice president at PR firm SKDKnickerbocker, “It” girl, and sometimes actress (on- and off-screen), is now a contributing editor for the publication.

Gelman’s duties will include the occasional column or blog post, but she’ll mostly act as a consultant. “She’s going to send us memos about ideas, and tell us things she’s seeing happening on the scene. Audrey will help us go farther afield than we’ve been able to and be our eyes and ears in New York and D.C.,” editor-in-chief Anne Fulenwider explained to Capital New York. With her wide range of connections and all-access scenester pass, Gelman is an ideal candidate to find new subjects for the magazine.

The details of her first column are still being discussed, but her name will appear on the June masthead.
