Elizabeth Olsen — who appears beneath a mane of highly tousled bed-head in her photo shoot for Marie Claire — told the magazine about her choice for celebrity pinup as a teen:
I never had a heartthrob or a band I loved, but I had Michelle Pfeiffer, so I tried to copy what my friends would do and had magazine pictures cut out in frames. She was the reason I wanted to be an actor.
Fitting into teen conventions (searching magazines for photos of heartthrobs, displaying those heartthrobs appropriately) makes one do goofy, adorable things, doesn’t it?
