Last night in Miami, Beyoncé and Jay Z kicked off their joint On the Run tour with a 42-song setlist that included a tribute to Michael Jackson, a screening of Bey and Jay’s wedding video, and the latest development in the thong-as-performancewear trend. After starting the show out in an oddly turtlelike fishnet mask, Bey changed into a leotard featuring what can only be described as a butt cage. The assless ensemble provided the obscenity of a thong while also offering a bit of underbutt coverage — all in all, a somewhat disorienting look.
