The Business of Fashion ventured into designer J.W. Anderson’s Mason jar–strewn Dalston studio for a catch-up with the Irish designer, who was appointed head of Loewe this past fall, with LVMH taking a minority stake in his namesake line as well. Anderson told the site that he has been doubling sales each season, just hired a new CEO, Simon Whitehouse (formerly of Diesel and Matthew Williamson), and will launch e-commerce on June 16. “When you are doing this level of work it is like kind of training for a marathon. You cannot take the whole thing at once and sprint it,” says the ultradriven 29-year-old. Man, he is really not you-know-what-ing around.
